Citation(s)2nd Lt. George Park Hacking, R.G.A.,
Spec. Res.
"For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to
duty. During an intense bombardment of
his battery position he continued to visit each
gun detachment with utter disregard of his
own safety in order to inspire, the men with
confidence and to satisfy himself that all
were under cover. On another occasion,
when both his battery officers were wounded,
he himself attended to the guns and was
entirely responsible for maintaining them in
action. His untiring energy and gallant
personal example instilled the greatest confidence in the men."
